Chantelle Ivanski

I am a PhD candidate with a focus on feminist psychology and a passion for helping others. I enjoy challenging myself and am keenly interested in understanding human behaviour. I have conducted, led, and managed projects looking at various topics, ranging from studies on parenting,  media engagement, political orientation, and virtual reality.

When not doing research I enjoy cooking - I am a trained chef and love experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen - and hanging out with my dog, Pip.

"Chantelle is a brilliant researcher with a knack for collaboration. Her ability to communicate key ideas succinctly, and accurately, is a major boon to any discussion. Countless projects have benefited from both her input, and her accommodating approach to leadership. She has a strong and diverse skill set and a flexible mindset, allowing her to adapt to any task and make immediate contributions. Our team would not be where it is today without her!"

Chantelle has been a breath of fresh air to work with on our project. As a staff member working at a community non-profit I'm always busy, and my expertise does not lie in developing, facilitating, or managing a research project. Chantelle has gone beyond completing the required research activities and has helped me understand what it means to facilitate and think critically about research. Chantelle communicates in an accessible way and I now feel able to make better choices when working on a research project that reflect the anti-oppressive values needed to work with community members."

“I have worked with Chantelle for over 5 years. She is a remarkable teaching assistant who can always be trusted to effectively work independently and meet timelines. She is guided by strong research and methodology skills and a keen sense of equity. She is a natural teacher, easily and intuitively able to help students understand complex and difficult topics. Her patience and willingness to accommodate diverse student needs have been invaluable. She will be sorely missed in my classroom!”
